Metallic Labels
Our metallic labels add a shiny metal finish to any product, allowing it to stand out from its competitors with a more unique, eye-catching visual.
Metallic labels also come equipped with high levels of durability thanks to the use of waterproof polypropylene, making them long-lasting and excellent value for money.
Benefits of Metallic Labels
One of the main benefits of metallic labels is the foil effect which we create by printing specialist inks over a silver substrate. This allows for multi-colour metallic, meaning you can have traditional gold and silver, or any specific parts of your design - like a logo, text or border - created in any metallic colour of your choosing.
This is combined with vivid, razor-sharp detail, thanks to being printed with our industry-leading Indigo presses. This means that whatever design you have in mind, the final product will have a crisp, clear appearance with quality to impress your customers.
Printed on top-quality polypropylene, you can also expect heavy-duty, weatherproof metallic labels, making them perfect for virtually any use case.
Different Types of Metallic Labels
Choose from either sumptuous gold or classy silver metallic labels, framing your design in a striking manner.
Alternatively, our multi-colour option allows for metallic green, blue, red, purple, orange and many more colours with a foil effect. We can even print gradients to allow for more complex designs.
Choosing the Right Metallic Label
The right metallic label depends on the product you want to bring to the public, and the first impression you want to present to your target customers. Below are some of the key points to keep in mind when choosing.
If you would like further advice tailored to your requirements, you can contact us via phone, email or live chat.
Considerations for Material and Finish
When choosing a finish and material for your label, it is important to visualise the kind of brand message you want to communicate to potential customers, along with how often your products are going to be handled by the public.
If your items are going to be in high-touch environments, it is always best to choose the most durable, tear-resistant material possible, such as polypropylene.
Another aspect to take into consideration when choosing a material and finish is where your products are going to be stored.
If there is any chance they will come into contact with less-than-ideal conditions, opting for waterproof polypropylene is a must. This way, your labels will remain crisp and vivid, avoiding any kind of liquid or weather damage.
We use polypropylene as standard with all our metallic labels, so you can be confident they will last.
Size and Customisation Options
When it comes to size and customisation, control of this is entirely in your hands. We offer custom sizes down to the millimetre, so you can input a height and width that fits perfectly.
You can also choose from a range of shapes, or a custom shape which contours around your design.
If graphic design is not your strong suit, our in-house graphics team can create a bespoke design for you based on your instructions. It’s ideal if you have a vision in mind. All you have to do is explain what you’re looking for, detail which parts you would like in metallic, and indicate what colour metallic you prefer.
Adhesive and Surface Compatibility
Due to the versatility of metallic labels, as well as the strength of the adhesive used, they are ideal for a whole range of surfaces.
From glass to plastic to metal and more, we guarantee that our highly resistant adhesive will keep your labels secure and in place for as long as you need them to be.
Proofing Process and Approval
In order to offer you the closest possible design to the vision you have in mind, there are a few specifications that need to be taken into account.
Luckily, we have our Artwork Check Guarantee in place, where we’ll manually inspect your artwork before we print to ensure it meets our specifications for the highest quality result.
If there are any issues, we can assist you with further setup free of charge, and send you a proof to approve before we start printing.
Popular Uses for Metallic Labels
Product Branding and Packaging
Metallic labels are perfect for items like beauty, cosmetic or toiletry products, as they make an eye-catching first impression on a shelf. From candles to bottles of hand soap, to cleaning solutions and drinks cans, metallic labels can help any product stand out to drive more interest and purchases.
Promotional and Marketing Materials
If you have a work event coming up, such as a conference or a team retreat, it is always helpful to have promotional items on hand to give out to people. Think items like reusable water bottles, notebooks, pens, stationery and more.
Special Events and Occasions
There is truly nothing better than a keepsake for wedding, birthday, or baby shower guests, which is another area where metallic labels can come in handy.
Small bags of confetti, wax melts, small drinks bottles and more can all benefit from the finishing touch of a metallic label, allowing people to remember exactly where they received their gifted item.

Metallic Labels FAQs
How long do metallic labels last?
Our adhesive is pressure-sensitive, curing upon application. Combined with weatherproof materials and inks, your labels can last for years in even testing environments.
Can metallic labels be applied on curved surfaces?
While it is entirely possible to apply metallic labels to curved surfaces, precision is key. It is important to make sure you are completely happy with your placement before pressing down to seal the label. With curved surfaces in particular, pressing down in the middle and then working outwards can be helpful.
Are metallic labels waterproof?
Thanks to being made from heavy-duty, foil-coated polypropylene, our metallic labels are waterproof and weather-resistant, making them ideal for harsher storage and usage conditions.
